"Do you-- Okay, I know you're not him. He doesn't have a sense of humor," Jim replied, still looking mildly worried before he reached out to take Gabriel by the ear and run his finger over the smooth, rounded edge of it. He stepped back after a moment, clearly disconcerted, and bit his lower lip.

Mohinder wasn't really sure that he liked this particular brand of questioning and so he slipped between the two. He was good at that, getting in the middle of things.

"Uh...excuse me... Hi. Who are you?"

Jim only offered Mohinder a glance. "James T. Kirk. Time Agent." He shook his head at Gabriel and then offered Mohinder his hand. "Sorry. I knew this could happen but...your friend looks exactly like my First Officer."
