Welcome to the Hub
Who: Gabriel and Mohinder with appearances by Jack Harkness and JC.
When: July 20, after this thread of doom.
What: Mohinder and Gabriel accept Jack's invitation and join Torchwood.
Mohinder might as well have had his hands and nose pressed to the ass as the SUV descended on the platform from the plaza above. The Hub was darker and less clinical than he had imagined from the way Jack had spoken briefly about Torchwood Institute. The walls were either brick of off white ceramic subway tiles, shaped like a massive tube around a central core. Walkways and stairs connected levels above and below them and rooms seemed to jut off from the main area like the spokes of a wheel.
No wonder Jack called it a Hub.
Wide eyed and half confused, when the car stopped moving, Mohinder jumped out of it to examine the winch system and try to find the opening they had slowly dropped through, though that had disappeared. He gripped the yellow industrial lift control box, which looked like something out of a warehouse or a mine, and frowned at the buttons.
"I was expecting something more... Futuristic, I suppose," Mohinder muttered to himself and set out around the catwalk, trying to look both up and down at the same time.

The American didn't need to move, the way Mohinder clamped down on him ought to be enough, hopefully, to finish him off, because the Indian wasn't about to let him go. He worked himself up and down Gabriel's length a few more times with the power of his own hips, but Mohinder was completely exhausted, on the verge of a giggle fit, and possibly even tears.
Sex was good even when it was bad but this did something to him, it was almost cathartic, like they had been destined for this moment from the first time Gabriel opened the door at Zane's Virginia Beach home and they locked eyes.
"I love you," he whispered quietly in the after glow, skin shimmering and muscles finally relaxing.

While he was still in the midst of being shocked with how wonderful that felt, something even more amazing happened. Mohinder said it. Something he suspected, but didn't completely know for sure to be the case. Gabriel's face broke into a wide grin, and he reached up to push some of his mussed-up hair back as he basked in that statement. "I love you, too," he replied simply.
With care, he pulled himself out of Mohinder, sliding carefully. The condom had caught everything, so before allowing himself to lay down, he got out and headed to the bathroom to dispose of it. Quick as a (somewhat woozy) flash, he returned and collapsed onto the bed next to Mohinder, placing a sweaty arm over him and leaning over to kiss him. If he could, he'd be purring right now- as it was, he merely looked more content than Mohinder had probably ever seen him.

Mohinder immediately cuddled into Gabriel's embrace and spread his fingers across Gabriel's forearm as he tucked his head under his chin. "That wasn't the worst way to celebrate our new positions at the Torchwood Institute," Mohinder laughed, pressing his lips against any part of flesh he could reach. The stubble growing on Gabriel's throat tickled his nose but he was rather sure that the peach fuzz on his head was doing the same to his lover.
He was going to suggest ordering pizza later and just staying in bed for the rest of the evening.
Who knew what tomorrow would hold for them after all?

He followed Mohinder's lead on lightly kissing everywhere he could reach and murmured a wordless agreement to the statement about it being a celebration. Now that he was fully relaxed, words were not coming to him easily. It felt like every minute there was something new and wonderful to enjoy.
Laughter and smiles would come very easily that night, and once his vocabulary returned to him, Gabriel would tell Mohinder that this was the best day of his life. It was the only way to describe what he felt. Pizza and a night in bed would only continue the trend. For once, Gabriel was not at all concerned about his future.
