Lath ought Mohinder's mind was often running nonstop through whatever pitfalls he was about to put himself through, right now, all he wanted to do was kiss Gabriel and forget about everything else. That was just going to have to wait thought because, impatient as ever, Gabriel did not want to wait for anything. And though they often came up on the same page, Mohinder would never deny him this.
"I know you've learned Hindi and we have visited India many times, but I do not think you understand how detailed and involved an Indian wedding ceremony is. Nor do I wish to have a conversation with my mother as to who will act as the bride. All I wish in life is to be yours. And as I mentioned, I would very much like a gold band prove that fact."
There was no other reason to get married. Gabriel might still have a few issues about living in sin but there was no citizenship or medical insurance reason to marry, no legal issue that would be easier to face as a pair. Marriage, for them, was a symbol. Gabriel found more comfort in symbolism than he ever would.
And so Mohinder leaned away to pick up the wrist strap that had been thrown on the table and held it back out to Gabriel.
"I require half an hour to prepare myself. I'd rather not get married smelling of blood samples and whatever it is that Sherlock is experimenting on now."
