Mohinder would be treated to one of Gabriel's best and brightest smiles. It wasn't often that he didn't seem weighed down by the part of him that was constantly finding new angles and pushing him to do harm- but right now, he seemed as ecstatic as a little boy on Christmas.
Nervousness was never something he understood. He took the wrist strap and threw his arms around Mohinder with a happy laugh. "He hasn't gotten through all the lab materials yet? Of course. A half hour. I've got to shave and put on my best, too, you know." As much as he loved the feeling of Mohinder kissing his stubbly chin, he was not getting married looking scruffy.
Although when he'd first fallen for Mohinder, back when they'd been traveling up from Mexico, he'd been pretty scruffy then, hadn't he? It'd been not too long since they'd saved each others' lives for the first time. And ever since then- well, Gabriel felt that Mohinder had never stopped saving him.
He realized he'd been staring at the man for far too long and grinned, pulling both himself and his love up off the couch and to a standing position. "Okay, okay. If we get lost in each other's eyes for too long, we'll miss our window. And if there is any part of the Indian ceremony you want, we can do it anytime. I'll prove I'm yours all my life and in every language, just so I'm sure you know."
Whenever Gabriel really got going, he could be sappier than Jimmy Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life. It was a part of himself that he actually loved bringing out, especially for his soon-to-be-husband. Mohinder might have to have him tone it down, eventually. But for now, Gabriel skipped off to go clean himself up, careful to leave Mohinder the room he needed to do the same.
