spacehopper: (hub gazing down calm frown)

Who: Murder Kids
When: January 15th
What: Lockdown at the Hub but some people just don't know how to play by the rules.

The fourth day of lockdown was no different from the third or the second other than a growing sense of boredom.  Most of the engineering and IT folk were still working at the Rift core in an attempt to find the intrusion.  It shouldn't have taken that long, and that's what bothered Jack the most was the morale of his people.

Many were fine, even with being cut off from the Archive and their work.  Some, however, were not.  Gabriel and Jim were the worst culprits there, pacing at times, running up and down the catwalks...

It was driving him crazy.

There were also a lot of their people gone, various agents on various missions.  That they couldn't get back was worrying too.  At least they did happen to have power.  Otherwise, by now they would have a very dead prisoner.  Jack really hated that.

But what he hated the most?  People able to bypass all of his precautions and get into the Hub without any of the security systems in place to let him know.

Sasan wanted badly to fuss over Jim, but he didn't dare right now. He followed Jim's instructions in the head-shake until they got walking. It was good to at least have contact with Jim while they moved.

Still, Sasan was almost at his limit. He had to focus most of his efforts on not just collapsing in a ball and cowering. If Jim wasn't here, that was what he'd be doing. He was no good with being threatened.

Eventually marched down the stairs, Jim and Sasan were taken down the same hallway that Kilgrave's cell was. The Doctor paused at one of the cells and rapped his hand upon it in a four-best cadence. Bum-bum bum-bum. He did that four times before scurrying towards the digital box outside of the door and, lifting the screwdriver, turned the intercom on. "Jackie! Captain Jack! If you are alive just stay on the floor! Got some more friends for you!"

He switched frequencies on his device and the door slowly opened.

There was no way that Jack was awake. Most of his insides were on his outsides. And some of those insides were treated like macabre garlands strewn around the light fixture. It was not at all festive. Jim, seeing it first, immediately pressed one hand over Sasan's eyes.

"Kept them closed," he hissed as they were ushered inside.

Sasan caught only the barest hint of red on the floor before Jim had covered his eyes. Shaking now, he followed Jim with a quiet, "O- okay."

He'd go where Jim took him. Jim wouldn't have him walk through anything he didn't have to. He didn't want to think about what happened to Jack, or why there was know response, because he knew the answers to all those questions.

"I met the Doctor once," Jim said as the Doctor shut the door. "And I like the other guy better."

Manic, the Doctor actually paused, nodding. "Me too, me too. But he took Colin and killed Chester and broke Drippy's hands," he continued. "Now he's here. I have to find him."

And with that he shut the door and left Jim and Sasan with Jack splattered over the walls.

Sasan was keeping his eyes closed until Jim said otherwise. He did feel backwards until he found a wall and leaned against it. The sound of the door closing and the tinge to the air made Sasan absolutely squeeze his eyes shut.

Okay, he had to get a hold of himself. This was serious. His breath hitched as he drew it in to talk, making it just as shaky as before. "Do you kn-know what he was talking about?"

Information was what Sasan was good at. But right now he didn't know anything about this. Just that Jack was probably dead in the room with them. He knew that Jack was supposed to come back from anything, but he had no idea how that worked, and what if it didn't this time?

"I honestly have no idea. I just... I hope he meets up with Gabriel soon."
