Who: Murder Kids
When: January 15th
What: Lockdown at the Hub but some people just don't know how to play by the rules.
The fourth day of lockdown was no different from the third or the second other than a growing sense of boredom. Most of the engineering and IT folk were still working at the Rift core in an attempt to find the intrusion. It shouldn't have taken that long, and that's what bothered Jack the most was the morale of his people.
Many were fine, even with being cut off from the Archive and their work. Some, however, were not. Gabriel and Jim were the worst culprits there, pacing at times, running up and down the catwalks...
It was driving him crazy.
There were also a lot of their people gone, various agents on various missions. That they couldn't get back was worrying too. At least they did happen to have power. Otherwise, by now they would have a very dead prisoner. Jack really hated that.
But what he hated the most? People able to bypass all of his precautions and get into the Hub without any of the security systems in place to let him know.

"It's London," Jim laughed. "There are a thousand more things to do than just shop. I've never gone as a tourist before." It was always for a mission. So he wanted to do the typical tourist things. He wanted to walk the prime meridian. He wanted to see King Henry Tutor's palace. He wanted to ride in a black cab and visit the Tower of London-- "But the Eye-- you got it."
He could rent out the red cab and have a private dinner. He didn't spend his money on much so why not show Sasan a really good time?
It would be something a little better then half snuggling while watching Netflix and eating popcorn.

Sasan twisted a little bit, so he could look up at Jim. His eyes were bright and he was grinning. "So we'll be the most touristy tourists in all of London." This was almost certain not to be true, but Sasan seemed amused with the idea.
And then it was hard not to notice how close their faces were to each other. Sasan found himself staring at Jim's lips. Of course, he had to be mindful of what Jim just told him, and how unsure he was of some things. Sasan looked up from those lips, into beautifully blue eyes, and asked, "Would it be all right if I kissed you?"

And now the person he had come to care the most for in the world was right here and inches from his face and asking that
There was silence and Jim didn't seem like he would respond at all. He brought his hand up to graze his knuckles against the hard line of Sasan's cheek.
Maybe it was fitting that he'd found him. That his whole mind had been so focused on him. Maybe that dangling end of a bond wasn't so dangling after all, just trying to reattach itself to something just a good?
This wasn't Spock. Or some girl planet side who's name he would forget by the time he answered a call to return to the ship.
Jim leaned in, wide lips covering Sasan's just before he heard the telling chuckle of a voice he did not need right now tickle the back of his neck.
"Jim, Jim, Jim. What is it you're doing? I go away for a little while and find you like this?"
Jim stiffened, but tried to ignore it by slipping his hands into such carefully groomed hair.

He didn't have long to revel in the sensation before he felt Jim stiffen up. This had to be difficult for him. He was thinking of pulling away, but he let it slide for a moment, and then he felt hands in his hair.
He wasn't sure whether it was him or his hormones that decided to leave it for the moment. He pushed it just the tiniest bit farther, opening his mouth just the smallest bit as an invite, making sure his lips dragged against Jim's just a tad. Sasan was warm and inviting, willing to do whatever Jim was up for.

"I didn't realise you had such a type," Khan said in his velvety accent, strolling around the couch, unseen, though his voice did hit Jim from behind Sasan when he spoke again. "Didn't this one mention finding monogamy to be boring? Or are you going back to that old way of life? Shag and leave?"
Jim kissed Sasan just a little harder, a little more forcefully than he had actually wanted to. Bruising kittenish lips wasn't really ideal, and Jim pulled back, mouth still open and what was likely a longer mixture of their saliva giving shimmer to his thick lower lip.
He lightly squeezed the back of Sasan's neck and pressed their forehead's together with his eyes squeezed shut.
Go away, go away!
"What's that Jim? Can't heaaaar you."
no subject
"It's all right. Don't force anything, okay? I'm still going to be here." He had no idea how traumatizing losing a bond like that could be, but he bet it was pretty awful. And he already knew he'd have to take things slow with Jim. He was fine with that. Jim was worth it.
He'd wait until Jim moved, get an idea of how bad it was, and then ask if he could help, with anything.
no subject
It was difficult to do any of this. Since Sasan had come into his life, Khan had stayed almost completely away from him. It had been ridiculous to think that he was gone and worse to forget he even existed.
"Don't take this the wrong way, but when did you start being so patient?"
no subject
Jim brought up patience, and his eyes popped open again as he smiled. "I can be patient...when its for someone I care about deeply, and when things get serious. It just so happened that nothing was ever serious in LA." Well, not the part he lived in, anyway. "Besides, I did tell you that you brought out the best in me, right?"
He reached up and ran his fingers through Jim's blond hair, ruffling it as he brushed it back. "Can I do anything for you? You need some water or...anything?"
no subject
"It's not him on my mind. That makes me sound guilty. But it isn't. I want you to know that it's you... It's been you for... A long time now. You probably guessed."
no subject
It took him a moment to even understand what Jim was saying at first, Sasan was so lovestruck. "I'd hoped," he murmured, then further clarified. "I hoped you thought of me the same way I thought of you. I'm not concerned about who had your heart first, wonderful as they must've been." He grinned and kissed Jim again, quick and sweet. "I'm hoping to catch it now."
no subject
And most importantly, he understood that Jim had baggage (not that he knew the half of it), but he thought enough about that stoic, cold guy from the train that had saved his life by breaking all the rules to take a chance and then be all right with seeing it out.
Sasan had large hands, and Jim brought one to his lips to kiss the heel of his palm with a contemplative glance upwards. The blond was sexy. And he wasn't just playing at it the way Jack did. This was a targeted move.
Jim brought that hand to the center of his chest and smiled, chin down.
"It's not trying to get awa--" Jim suddenly straightened, looking over Sasan's shoulder, at the shadow in the doorway.
The technician looked bored. "No carry on. I'll wait."
no subject
And then there was a technician. Gah! Sasan was tempted to follow the man's request and continue on, but the mood was most thoroughly ruined. Sasan sighed and pecked Jim on the cheek. "Careful what you wish for," he told the technician, an eyebrow raising. He detached himself slightly from Jim, but didn't get up. "Did you find something?"
no subject
"Yep. And you're not gonna like it." Sasan might not have gotten up but at that line, Jim didn't have a choice. He tugged down on his shirt (something he always did when standing as if to get the lines in his clothing in a straight line) and then stepped around Sasan's legs. "It's coming from something in cold storage."
Jim arched an eyebrow. "That's not possible," he said immediately. "Cold storage is cold for a reason."
"And we work for a time agency," the agent said. "Being on lockdown might have been a mistake. We can't get into cold storage now. It's locked us out of the archive. Evidently it used the website your friend over there made to collect information it needed. It would fish for information and when it was denied... It looks like it extrapolated that the denials were actually agreements. Clever coding."
Shit. Jack was immediately on the defensive. "Did you tell Harkness?"
The technician smiled strangely and lifted a pen towards the pair. Jim knew it to be a laser screwdriver. "Yep. He'll be out for about an hour. Stand up and come with me now."

Sasan's mind danced through several terrible Hollywood romances, where the love interest confessed their love only to be taken out in the next, by some thing or another. That was really not helpful, mind! But what could Sasan do in this case? He didn't have any skills, no hidden knowledge about the Hub. He was not meant for these sorts of situations!
"What is it you want?"
no subject
"You've got to be kidding me."
"Mmm, no. Not who you're thinking of but I did have a lovely chat with him before I came up here to find you two. I've seen...weeeeeell, let's just say I've seen quite a lot of myself the last few hundred years mucking about but a human without a fob watch? Fantast-- Nope, no, still terribly weird to say. I don't like it. Well come on then!"
no subject
So, they were going to be hostages? Or...what was he doing? Why did he look like the creepy Kilgrave guy? Sasan hadn't been let in on a lot of that, but he did at least get a picture. And this man looked identical.
Sasan bit his lip and looked to Jim. It was certain he'd stick close as they walked out of the room, but he'd let Jim make the first move there.
no subject
Jim wasn't going to make a move with Sasan here. It was too dangerous. They'd had a laser screwdriver here for awhile and Jack had explained all of the frankly terrifying things it could do. Sonic, he said, was less of a weapon, but taken into consideration the settings, all one had to do was use it in particularly nasty ways and it could indeed be a weapon.
Unless you were made of wood. Then you were safe.
Unfortunately, Jim and Sasan were not in fact made of wood and therefore, were really rather stuck.
"Well hurry it up! We hardly have all day, now have we? Certainly not, not, not, not!" Jim kept himself between the man and Sasan.
"What are we suppose to call you?" Might as well ask, right?
"I'm the Doctor. I was the Doctor. I can be the Doctor again--" He grabbed at his hair with his free hand and tugged. Jim said little. "Just-- Let's go! Out! We need to collect the rest of you lot!"
no subject
Okay, this guy was clearly unstable. And not human, which even more severely limited what Sasan could know about him. He wondered if this Doctor(ish) guy even had an endgame.
As he began pulling at his hair and exclaiming, Sasan gave another worried look to Jim. He decided to finally start moving towards the door. Slow, no surprising or threatening movements. Sasan would follow instructions in situations like this. He didn't really have much other choice.
He has the drumming noise. He was such a weird character.
"You'll have to make up your mind," he told the tall, skinny Time Lord. He'd met the Doctor once but he had had a sort of strange monkey face and he favorite bowties. Of course he knew that this could be a version before or after the last or he could be from a timeline where he just looked different. It was hard to predict the sort of crazy the universe and it's many versions could throw at them. "How did you even get in...? Jack would have know --"
Jim found himself shoved against the wall, hitting his face and making his nose spout blood. "Wee Blue," the Doctor whispered. "She makes it so people don't no-no-no-notice!"
D: That would definitely make someone unstable.
"Okay! Okay. Don't hurt him, please." Sasan had not met the Doctor before, but so far, first impressions were not high. He'd taken an involuntary step towards the two of them, but didn't dare get any closer until he knew what this 'Doctor' would about it.
no subject
Jim had no idea who Wee Blue was but he decided not to ask either. He went instead for something a little less extreme.
"Are you taking is to Jack...?"
He got another little push forward for that and so Jim just walked, taking Sasan's elbow so that he just walked with him. Man. He only had one change of shirts to. This one was ruined.
no subject
Still, Sasan was almost at his limit. He had to focus most of his efforts on not just collapsing in a ball and cowering. If Jim wasn't here, that was what he'd be doing. He was no good with being threatened.
no subject
He switched frequencies on his device and the door slowly opened.
There was no way that Jack was awake. Most of his insides were on his outsides. And some of those insides were treated like macabre garlands strewn around the light fixture. It was not at all festive. Jim, seeing it first, immediately pressed one hand over Sasan's eyes.
"Kept them closed," he hissed as they were ushered inside.
no subject
He'd go where Jim took him. Jim wouldn't have him walk through anything he didn't have to. He didn't want to think about what happened to Jack, or why there was know response, because he knew the answers to all those questions.
no subject
Manic, the Doctor actually paused, nodding. "Me too, me too. But he took Colin and killed Chester and broke Drippy's hands," he continued. "Now he's here. I have to find him."
And with that he shut the door and left Jim and Sasan with Jack splattered over the walls.
